I've heard of this guy called Anthony Callea but never got to goggle him to find out how he looks like or what he was? Essentially, he was an Australian Idol finalist and I found out that he hails from down under and resides in Melbourne.
Last night, while at Sluttila's place waiting for our weekly mahjong session to begin, I was introduce to this young fine gentleman. He is 24, of Italian parentage and best of all, he is a PLU! At this age, I'm truly amazed at his talents and not to mention his boyish good looks that come along with it. For someone at his age, listen to how he sings (I have added a link to watch it).
Now, we know that talented and yet good looking PLUs are hard to find but for this guy who was accidentally "outed" by a radio station, did not shriek off it nor deny it. Instead, he came out clean about his sexuality. Such a brave young guy, and I know for many, being in the closet seems to be our comfort zone (inclusive of me).
Possessing such powerful vocals, Anthony has mesmerised me with his charming and yet charismatic performance when doing the PRAYER. I really hope he will succeed well because not many PLUs out there who can sing and have the looks at the same time, have eventually became major stars; but even if he does not, I guess we will be proud of him to have shown that being PLU is not about being bitchy, about fashion more likely in our abilities and our talents. Actually, most PLUs are really talented people, only a minority of us out there have soiled our lineage and the general perception by the straight people out there is that we are a people always obsessed with sex (well sex comes with moods and like all straights, we are the same with them) and thus, labelled as sluts!
Therefore, people like Anthony really shines some positive light on us.

Anthony's both albums are fantastic, you can really see the growth & maturity in his 2nd album A New Chapter but thats not to say album no.1 was any less fantastic as it includes 5 singles that were all massive hits. The lyrics co-written by Anthony on A New Chapter are very meaningful and think a lot of people will be able to relate to them. He's currently about to start work on his 3rd studio album. You won't be disappointed.
