SPATE OF BAD LUCK!

CK has been having a spat of bad luck recently. First his car battery had some problems, and it stalled right next to the highway last Saturday. Then, on Sunday, it again failed on him despite him changing it and this time it was much luckier, at the BP station near to his home.

However, the worst part of it was this morning, when his car got stalled again and this time it happened at roundabout near his place. The traffic policeman who were manning the roads at that moment, helped him to push the car to the side. While he was at the side, CK called up his dad to come help him out of this but suddenly out of nowhere, two Indian chaps who obviously saw how his car stalled, came by their motorbikes and one of them, approached CK and threatened him with a knife.

will this all end...?

They pulled of his gold chain he was wearing and took his cell phone. As his car keys were in the car, the robber also took that away from him and within seconds, sped away. This happened while there were cars moving along that busy road that morning and also, policemen (3) were stationed at the roundabout. I asked him if he got hurt, and he told me that he did not, only got some scratches on him and that's about it. Later, his dad did arrived but all this had already taken place, and a police report was subsequently made at the police station.

I told CK that he was lucky that they did not take his wallet and it would be very cumbersome if one were to lose the important documents in it. However, the sad part is that he lost the cell phone that he bought only like last year and its not even one year old. I feel sad for him...

I pray and hope that he would really get out of this spate of unlucky incidents, hopefully, this will be the end of it! As they say, it never rains but pours BUT, the optimist in me will add, A Sliver Lining will appear after the storm!

Poor CK... Hope your friend gets over this bad spate of luck soonest possible. Now what are the police doing? Not doing their jobs? Then why the hell are they paid for doing nothing!? ** Angry**

Thank you guys for your concern. I've checked on my dear CK and he is alright now, a bit shaken but definitely better than the first day this had happened.

He told me that this happened so fast that even the cops did not manage to apprehend the robbers because they were busy directing traffic that morning, and moreover, CK remembered one of the robber's registeration number, so hopefully, these policemen, who gets paid by our taxes will do some REAL job instead of asking for bribes!
