OF VICES AND HIGHLANDS...

Genting...city of entertainment & gambling?

Phew! What an interesting weekend again for me...

I had dinner with Flirty Whore last evening and our initial plans was to just maybe catch a movie. We went to this chinese restaurant in Mid-Valley and finding our way there was like quite near impossible with the volume of traffic trying to meander to its parking lots? After a futile 20 minutes waiting just to get into the parking lots, we did manage to find one and then made our way to the restaurant.

After dinner, FW wanted to have his hair cut (it looks out of place) and I wanted to just window shop and perhaps want to get a new pair of sneakers? As the timing for our actions were already 9-ish, FW did not get to have his hair corrected and I did not see any pair of good sneakers that caught my attention, we decided to go to GSC to see if any tickets are available.

Upon reaching there, we were told that most of the seats were very right up in front and the reserved seats were not taken up, hence, it was a catch 22. Neither here nor there, FW came out with an interesting option, how about going up to Genting Highlands?

When FW brings that up, almost immediately it will strike up the notion of gambling. I protested that I was NOT properly dressed and he offered to fetch me home and get my stuff and then head up on to GH.

And before I could say jumping jellybeans, we were on the highway leading to GH. Traffice was kinda busy at that hour too, I was amazed, perhaps some gamblers like us also took this opportunity to go up?

Anyway, reaching up there was a breeze, not so cold as I wanted it to be but still better than our humid KL / PJ weather. Upon reaching up there, horrors to horrors, parking was a hassle. Oh, no, MidValley all over again!

the parking was all full...

Getting into the parking lots was easy but to find one was so like finding a pin in a hay stack! Finally after countless of rounds and also near misses of coming out of the parking lot and nearly heading towards to the road back to KL, we did manage to park in First World Hotel. It was not entirerly easy but after several turnings, we did manage to find one. I wanted to tell FW that maybe its a sign that we should nto have come to GH at all, but FW did not want to think of it and wanted to actually gamble! (now I know where my gambling traits have derived from)

The first thing we headed to was the casino and after several rounds, I went to the slot machines and only place RM50. Whether I won or not, I will not budge from that amount, but in the end I was not so lucky. I guess, when I don't have the mood, I don't win anything?

On the other hand, FW was quite lucky, he was looking around and suddenly I found him stationed at the black-jack table. He obviously had a good night, from a bet of RM100, he won RM 1300 in just an hour. I was amazed, in that short time earning so much, well thats gambling for you.

You lose some and you win some...I guess. But to FW, it was a good night, and despite the many setbacks that occurred along the way like finding a place to park, maybe, this was the way it showed that perserverance will ultimately triumphed if you put your mind into it...but not in this sense of gambling, ok, 'cause I do not want to be promoting this vice in any way!

RM1300 in just one hour...?

Hello... I was very down and troubled by the restructuring announcement and my intention was to loose RM500.00 I guess God is trying to let me know the inside might not be god but the opportunities outside is better. Anyway, besides the winning I learn to turn over a new leaf.
